Newsflash NY Auto Show

He came, he saw and he conquered!! After recieving an invite to participate in the 2004 New York International Auto Show, Goodfella Charlie Rizzo immediately replied "Viper, Vette, Mustang and customs....Bring em' on! With that Charlie went to work preparing his Nova. With his son's help they spent hours waxing, buffing and cleaning to make absolutely sure his SS was show ready. And was it ever! Judged by popular vote from the crowd at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City, Charlie's Nova SS edged out a beautiful 1961 Vette and an absolutely flawless 1965 Ford Mustang fastback. For his victory Charlie received an Alpine Stereo system and a check for $300. For the entire day it seemed Charlie's Nova was the center of attention. Show goers offering big bucks to buy the car, motorheads asking questions and others reliving the times when they too had a rare big block Nova. After the show, everyone had their eye on Charlie as he was leaving the convention center. The crowd stood and watched as the modified 396 came to life. There were smiles everywhere as the low rumble of the big block chevy slowly moved toward the exit. The crowd was cheering him on as if expecting a show of power as he left the building. As he pulled onto 11th Ave, he noticed New York's finest were on tap to keep traffic running smoothly and he thought to himself as the crowd was gathering and clapping louder by the second, "Should I or shouldn't I". Just then He thought, "What the hell", slipped her into first gear and proceeded to let loose with a thunderous, smoky burnout much to the delight of the cheering crowd. He then glanced at the officers directing traffic and to his surprise, they too were clapping!!! But he also knew he had just used up his get out of jail free card.
